Most Western artists boycott Russia
Concert activity has dramatically declined since the invasion. This chart shows how Western artists have largely stopped performing there. We believe this number should be zero — no artist should perform in Russia while the war continues.
January 2018–February 2022 is an archival estimate. March 2022 onward uses observed events from the curated public database, excluding hidden records. The line is a 3-month rolling average. Note: Russia has never recovered to pre-pandemic concert levels, even after COVID restrictions were lifted globally. The sustained decline post-February 2022 indicates a deliberate cultural boycott rather than pandemic-related effects.
